Dogtra Dummy Collars

DOGTRA Dummy Collars look and weigh the same as the DOGTRA Dog Training Collar. They are often used to condition a dog to wearing the DOGTRA training collar for dogs when people have yet to actually buy the electric dog collar. The multi-dog training shock collars are also used when a handler has more than one dog and needs to train all of his or her dogs with a DOGTRA e-collar. The proper way to use and train with an e-collar is to condition the dog to wearing the collar. The goal being that the simple act of putting the collar on means nothing, to the dog. This is done over a two week training period where the handler puts the collar on (the dog) and takes it off a couple of times a day. It is rotated with the prong collar, the e-collar and the normal leather collar. It is critical to good training that the dog does not associate the collar going on as training and then only mind when its on.
