The Electronic Bark Collars (also known as e-Collars), deliver a low-level irritating static shock of adjustable intensity when a vibration sensor in the collar detects barking. This static shock is like walking across a carpet, then touching another person, or a doorknob or like objects. Completely harmless, but attention-getting!

Citronella Bark Collars release a spray of the citronella plant-based fragrance when a microphone in the collar senses barking. Ultrasonic Bark Collars emit a high pitched sound, irritating to dogs, when the microphone detects any barking of the collar bearer.
