The Petsafe PBC 102 Bark Collar helps your dog learn the difference between good barking (for protection) and bad barking (due to boredom or over-excitement). The bark collar picks up the vibrations from your dog's vocal chords as it barks. The vibrations cause the anti-bark collar to send a warning tone, then an electronic signal (a static shock) to your dog. Your dog will quickly learn that barking causes the signals, and that not barking is the way to avoid the signals. • If your dog stops barking, the anti bark collar rests. If your dog keeps barking, the bark collar emits more signals. Each signal is slightly stronger than the one before it.
• Audible warning signal:
  A "warning beep" occurs just prior to the static correction being applied.
• Automatic shut-off:
  The bark collar automatically shuts off if your dog barks 15 times within 50 seconds. The bark collar will stay quiet for a full 3 minutes, giving your dog a break from training.
